The FIFA World Cup 2022 is scheduled to begin in Qatar next month, and the sport’s governing organization announced on Monday that three million tickets have already been sold. The first Middle East and Arab World Cup will begin at Al Bayt Stadium on November 20, according to a statement from FIFA. “Ticket sales for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 are reaching 3 million,” the organization stated.

According to the organizers, 30,000 rooms have been made available to World Cup visitors. Furthermore, they reported that 2.89 million tickets were sold for the sixty-four games, with the largest demand coming from Germany, Argentina, France, Brazil, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the United States, and Saudi Arabia.

The first World Cup to be held in the winter in the northern hemisphere, Qatar 2022, will take place from November 20 to December 18. Brazil holds the record with five World Cup victories, the most recent occurring in 2002 in South Korea and Japan. The current winners are France.

How to Buy the FIFA World Cup Tickets?

FIFA has outlined the process for purchasing tickets for the 2022 World Cup, but you must first apply for a ticket before purchasing one. Because there is only a month until the event starts, customers will be able to purchase tickets and hospitality packages. Additionally, the cost of hospitality will range from $950 per group to $200,00 for upscale locations.

You must have a personal FIFA World Cup Tickets account with complete and accurate information to apply for tickets. There are still 500,000 tickets available for the FIFA World Cup 2022, with the least expensive one costing $69. 2.45 million tickets have been sold during the ticket sale, while 520,000 tickets were purchased on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fans can purchase tickets in a variety of categories. The most expensive seats, located in the stadium’s best locations, are in Category 1. Tickets in category four are only available to people who live in Qatar, including nationals of that country and those with valid work visas.

Fans with mobility challenges or those in wheelchairs can now purchase accessibility tickets. For Category 1 seating at the championship, the most expensive ticket costs 5,850 Qatari rials, or almost $1,600. The final-day ticket for the previous World Cup in Russia cost $1,100.

Fans can still purchase a small number of World Cup Tickets through FIFA’s ticket gateway, and the organization has confirmed that depending on demand, ticket sales may continue up until the start of the competition.

Despite the wide range of third-party ticketing choices available, FIFA has emphasized the importance of fan caution when purchasing tickets, especially when dealing with unauthorized sources.

They have also announced that to attend any World Cup game, supporters must first sign up for a “Hayya (Fan ID)” Card. To enter any stadium in Qatar, you will need a valid Hayya Card in addition to a match ticket.

When FIFA World Cup Tickets Sales Would be Close?

FIFA started selling individual World Cup Tickets on January 19, 2022. Through “random selection drawings,” those who indicate an interest in voting will have the chance to do so. It is highly likely that these tickets will be placed up for sale at this time.

  • Individual Match Tickets (IMTs)
  • Team Specific Ticket Series (TSTs)
  • Four-Stadium Ticket Series (FSTs)

The applicants will learn whether they were highly successful, successful, or not at all successful after the application evaluation. FIFA will then contact you to provide you with the payment information. Following that, you can purchase as many tickets as you would like for each game, up to a maximum of sixty for the tournament.

Anytime, but only if they are first in line, fans may try to get last-minute tickets. The person who signs in first will be seated in front of those who wait. Applications that have been received and purchased will be notified by email. If a customer purchases a Team Specific Match or Series from MATCH Hospitality and their team is not invited to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, they will receive a full refund.

There are no tickets available outside of the FIFA.com World Cup Tickets system. FIFA has policies in place governing the eligibility of buyers and the sale of tickets. The Ticket Transfer and Resale Policy will make these guidelines available to the public. It is possible that your ticket if you bought it elsewhere other than FIFA, is a fake or that FIFA will revoke it without allowing you to get a refund.

Because stakeholders like sponsors and FIFA member federations return tickets from their quotas, tickets frequently become available late.

For the 29-day tournament, Qatar is expecting almost 1.2 million foreign guests, and more lodging is currently being built to prevent bed scarcity in the tiny emirate.

According to Qatari officials, fans have already purchased two million distinct room nights in hotels, residences, cruise ships, and even camping grounds, and a further 30,000 rooms have been added to the capacity.

What are the most expensive World Cup Tickets?

The cheapest and most expensive World Cup Tickets accessible to fans inevitably differ given the variety of categories and matches available.

Why are French cities not broadcasting the matches?

In response to worries over the treatment of migrant workers’ rights and the effects of the tournament in Qatar on the environment, Paris will not show World Cup Matches on massive screens in public fan zones.

Despite France being the defending champions, other French cities, such as Lille, Strasburg, and Bordeaux, have made similar steps. Other European organizations are also considering how they may protest.

The decision to forgo public broadcasting of games was made due to “the conditions of the organization of this World Cup, both on an environmental and social level,” according to Pierre Raadan, deputy mayor of Paris in charge of sports.

He claimed that “air-conditioned stadiums” and the “conditions in which these facilities have been developed ought to be questioned” in an interview with France Blue Paris.

Although Qatar’s “style of holding huge events goes against what (Paris, the host of the 2024 Olympics) wishes to do,” Raadan emphasized that Paris was not boycotting the soccer tournament.

Despite Qatar Sports Investments owning the city’s football team, Paris Saint-Germain, the decision was made. We have excellent relationships with the club and its support staff, but it does not stop us from voicing our disagreements.
